In Year Admissions

If you are a parent wishing to apply for a place for your child at our school you will need to complete the In Year Admission Form (IYAF).  Please send the completed form back to school. You will need to fill in a separate form for each child.

If we are unable to offer a place your child’s name will be added to our waiting list. If you contact the school office you will be able to obtain information on where your child is on the waiting list. You have the right to appeal against the refusal of a place.

If you would like more information about joining our school please contact Miss Rebecca Fuggle or Mrs Claire Feleppa, Admissions Officers, or email us at enquiries@sandgate.kent.sch.uk

You can also find further information about the admissions process on Kent County Council Primary Admissions website.

Admissions September 2024

Following our successful New Parents' meeting held in June 2024 please find below the referenced PowerPoint for your information.  We look forward to welcoming our new cohort to Sandgate Primary School.

Admissions September 2025

Children born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021 will need to apply for a Primary School place for admissions in September 2025.

The admissions process starts  early November 2024. We strongly recommend that you apply online at:

www.kent.gov.uk/ola

Paper forms (RCAFs) will be available to download from the K.C.C. website or available from the School Office. Applications must be made by Monday 15th January 2024.

If you apply online you will receive an email from K.C.C. Admissions on Tuesday 16th April 2024 after 4pm to tell you which school you have been offered. K.C.C. Admissions cannot guarantee the exact time you will receive your email, this depends on your email service provider. You can also log in after 5pm on 16th April 2024 to view your offer online.

Admissions for Pre-School Age Children

If your child is not old enough to start school yet (born after 31st August 2021), you may ‘register an interest’ at this school by filling in this Future Admissions Form and returning it to the school office, you can email it to enquiries@sandgate.kent.sch.uk.

‘Registering an interest’ at the school does not give your child priority for a place just because their name has been down longer than any other child.

When your child is old enough, the school will get in touch with you so that you can submit an admissions form for that year. The K.C.C. Admissions form that you will need to fill in is the Common Application Form (RCAF). This will be available to fill in online at www.kent.gov.uk/ola or can be collected from any primary school by you at the appropriate time, which is generally at the end of the Autumn Term before your child is due to commence the following Autumn.
