Bumblebees
Welcome to the Bumblebees!
Our teacher is Miss Wilson and our teaching assistants are Mrs Edwards, Mrs Wade and Mrs Burgess. When getting ready for school each day, please support your child to remember to bring their book bag, home-school diary and reading book as well as a water bottle and a coat. We enjoy daily outdoor learning opportunities in most weathers in the early years so a warm and waterproof layer is always needed! On Mondays and Fridays, children should wear their PE kit to school for our indoor and outdoor PE sessions.
A typical day in Foundation consists of a variety of teacher directed sessions and independent learning opportunities which we call Explorer Time. During Explorer Time, the children are able to learn alongside their peers in the Ladybirds class and we encourage a free-flow learning environment across both classrooms and our extensive outdoor area. The children are able to follow their own learning paths, guided and supported by the adults, and practise and consolidate learning from the teacher directed sessions.
It’s always busy but it’s always lots of fun learning in the Bumblebees too!
